the idea
What makes me get out of bed on brew day is the idea of brewing beer that tastes good. Sometimes that means I’m breaking rules and forsaking styles. Sometimes I’ve carefully researched the beer I’m making. The main idea is that the process is as rewarding - if not more so - than the product. So forget about decoding the "mouthfeel" of beer because, it just sounds like a weird thing to do.

So what is Old Bell Brewing? Well, it’s a homebrewing hobby that I became way too invested in. The name comes from my parents’ ranch in West Columbia, TX - The Old Bell Plantation Ranch.

As a born and raised Texan, hard work was always rewarded with a good beer. In the state of Colorado, I learned the craft and trade of brewing. A grad school hobby quickly became a creative obsession. Moving back to Texas made it mandatory to smoke meat while brewing. I also enjoy volunteering, outdoor adventuring, and great moments with great people.
